About Rape Crisis Scotland

Rape Crisis Scotland (RCS) is the national office for the rape crisis movement in Scotland.

It supports the work of local centres and develops new centres in areas where there are no or few specialist services. It works with other agencies such as the police, Crown Office and health services and provides training and consultancy. Through its campaigns and publications RCS raises awareness of sexual violence, challenges attitudes and presses for legal change. Its sexual violence prevention programme works with young people in schools across Scotland.

RCS is a charitable company limited by guarantee. It receives funding from the Scottish Government, charitable trusts and donations from individuals.
